Overall it's an ok pleasant Audiobook that I'd recommend for young ages.There are ladybugs all over my front yard. She then stepped outside.' I could swear that after listening to this book Kalena is now the name I've heard the most times in my life. Kalena then stepped outside.' while it can be 'Kalena woke up, stood up, thought where to go next and picked up her bad. What turned out to be really annoying for me was the bad editing and the immense overuse of the protagonist's name, Kalena, eg(not a part of the book, just demonstrating): 'Kalena woke up. The story is pretty linear, easy going and as I mentioned targeted to a younger audience. Apparently she is more skilled than the other kids, being able to hear every's thoughts while also 5 years younger. The story follows a young girl, Kalena, from the Kalarthri race, who was taken from her family and bound to a boy from the race of Hatar a large birdlike beast, whom she can mindspeak with. Story 7.5/10 I'll just rate this as kids books when it comes to the story because for me that's what it is. Narration 8.5/10 The narration is ok, nothing wrong with it, nothing exceptional either, just speed it up a bit. I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

I felt this book is more for Middle grade, but adults might like it too.

Would I listen/read book two? Yes, it would be interesting to see what happens in the world (we got hints of change) and how the main character develops. If the other things in the book where solved then I would have given it a five. Then, I hear you say why did I give it four stars? Well, the author had me intrigued and they had me listening to the whole audiobook, so, in my opinion they deserve the four stars. I felt this was a good story but as I mentioned before there were a few things that I found really hard to believe even for a fantasy. If we knew more about the world before this happened then I might have excepted the things the main character and the reaction of the secondary characters due to this. After this certain things that happen become unbelievable for me. However, as the book progressed the young girl seemed to act older then her age and she managed to get another person (15 years old) to break a rule. I knew, when I first started listening to it the main character would be young (eleven years old), which is fine.
